Micro Silica

MAC-D92

MAC Micro Silica with total SiO2 content min 92%. It will react with the Calcium Hydroxide from the cement, which will form more of the Calcium Silicate Hydrate, igreatly Improves compressive strength, Bond strength, Abrasion resistance, Permeability and helps in protecting reinforcing steel from corrosion. Using it will also increase the durability of the concrete

  • Suitable for apply MAC Micro Silica for High Performance Concrete.
  • Polymer modified adhesive
  • Good strength & interior situations
  • Easy mixing & application
  • MAC Micro Silica conforms to ASTM C-1240-03, AASHTO M-307, EN 13263:2005 and IS 9103 (1999)

About Micro Silica MAC-D92

  • Our Micro Silica is compatible with a wide range of substrates:
  • For High Performance Concrete
  • Marine/Ocean concrete, Precast concrete
  • Wear Resistent Flooring, Grouting material
  • Ready Mix Concrete for High Strength Concrete
  • Cement Road and many more
  • Suitable for apply MAC Micro Silica for High Performance Concrete.
  • Polymer modified adhesive
  • Good strength & interior situations
  • Easy mixing & application
  1. Ensure that surface is totally clean
  2. Ensure that surface plastered or made with cementitious material.
  3. The surface should be moderately rough and in just-wet condition.
  4. Apply 1st coat of MAC Wall Putty (1.5 mm thickness) using a blade / spatula on the wall with a "bottom to up" configuration.
  5. Apply 2nd coat of MAC Wall Putty (1.0 mm thickness) preferably after 4 hours in summers and after 12 hours in winters. Second coat shall be applied "horizontally" to even out application marks of 1st coat, if any.
  6. Remove putty paste again for 1 minute, if it is left undisturbed for 30 minutes.
  7. However, actual coverage achieved depends on the base surface condition and finished thickness.
  • Always add powder to liquid and not liquid to powder.
  • While working in temperature more than 35OC ( 95OF ) always dampen the substrate & finish faster.
  • Tiling should not be done when surface temperature is below 4OC.

Some of Your Questions About MAC Micro Silica

Micro-Silica is highly pozzolanic material and is used to enhance the mechanical and durable properties of concrete. It can be added directly to concrete as an individual ingredient or by blending to produce high-strength concrete.
Micro-Silica has chemical and physical properties. It has fine particles, a large surface area, and is comprised of high SiO2 content.
Concrete containing Micro-Silica has very high strength, Studies indicate that the addition of Micro-Silica to cement improves the durability of water impermeability and the carbonation resistance of the concrete. Such concrete can be used in building parking structures, bridges, and bridge decks.
Micro Silica has total SiO2 content as min 85% and min 92%.
No, Micro Silica is not the same thing as concrete. Concrete is a construction material composed of cement, sand, and coarse aggregates. When mixed with water, it hardens over time.
