MAC Wall Putty specially designed product based on white cement, redispersable polymer and functional additives, to give a smooth finish to rough exterior plasters. It can be used on interior as well as exterior surfaces like cement plasters, asbestos sheets, concrete, and brickwork. Using MAC FINE Coat for your wall offers many advantages – both during the bonding process and following installation.

  • MAC Wall Putty meets the adhesion requirements of IS 15477 : 2004 Specification
  1. Ensure that surface is totally clean
  2. Ensure that surface plastered or made with cementitious material.
  3. The surface should be moderately rough and in just-wet condition.
  4. Apply 1st coat of MAC Wall Putty (1.5 mm thickness) using a blade / spatula on the wall with a "bottom to up" configuration.
  5. Apply 2nd coat of MAC Wall Putty (1.0 mm thickness) preferably after 4 hours in summers and after 12 hours in winters. Second coat shall be applied "horizontally" to even out application marks of 1st coat, if any.
  6. Remove putty paste again for 1 minute, if it is left undisturbed for 30 minutes.
  7. However, actual coverage achieved depends on the base surface condition and finished thickness.
  • Always add powder to liquid and not liquid to powder.
  • While working in temperature more than 35OC ( 95OF ) always dampen the substrate & finish faster.
  • Tiling should not be done when surface temperature is below 4OC.

Some of Your Questions About MAC Wall Putty

Since MAC Wall Putty is made with very fine white cement and it fills all the pin holes and pores of plaster resulting in surface that has very less tendency of absorption, therefore, primer is not recommended after application of MAC Wall Putty.
Painting can be done after 3 or more days after application of MAC Wall Putty but it should be ensured that MAC wall putty is completely dry before applying paint.
MAC Wall Putty is a White Cement based putty for plastered walls and ceilings. MAC Wall Putty is a coarse powder specially formulated to be used as base coat to cover up undulation and uneven surfaces of cement plastered walls and concrete surfaces for exteriors and interiors. It can also be used directly over AAC Blocks, Hollow Blocks, Precast Wall, Over Concrete and Ceilings in 2 coats as per requirement varying from 4 mm to 10 mm.
MAC Wall Putty stands out as a much better option than Plaster of Paris. POP is extremely hygroscopic and is susceptible to the ingress of moisture, which damages the surface. But MAC Wall Putty is a white cement-based product with the property of water resistance. Also, a coat of primer should ideally be applied on POP, which is not required in the case of MAC Wall Putty.
MAC Wall Putty does not require any curing after application.
